Zivah's Birthday Cakes

These cakes were made for a beautiful little girl's 1st birthday party. She had two Frozen-themed cakes and a minnie mouse cake.

Her Frozen doll cake had a vanilla madeira base, a coconut middle tier and the doll dress was vanilla as well; with the Elsa doll it self having been shop bought.
The vanilla cakes were filled and crumb coated with rich creamy vanilla flavoured buttetcream, while the coconut one had a filling and crumb coat of coconut and almond flavoured buttercream.

Both were covered with fondant and decorated with edible snowflakes, pictures of the birthday girl and silver balls.

Her minnie mouse exploding cake was again a coconut madeira; filled and crumb-coated with coconut and almond flavoured buttercream.
It was covered with grape violet-tinted sugarpaste, decorated with edible images of Zivah, minnie and pink fondant balls.

Her 3rd cake was actually a dress made from an arrangement of cupcakes. These were made from a cinnamon flavoured victoria sponge recipe, topped with swirls of cream and blue tinted buttercream.
It was decorated with an Elsa toy crown and bling ribbon for a belt.

As well as the above, other flavours on offer can be found here.
Here's wishing Zivah a very happy birthday and many more prosperous years.

Bolaji's Football Cake

It was my brother's birthday on the 4th of June and the featured cake was made for him. A befitting cake for an ardent football and Arsenal fan.

His cake was made from our ever-so-fluffy and moist red velvet madeira, then filled and crumb coated with luxurious vanilla flavoured buttercream. It was covered with white sugarpaste and a grass border of green-tinted buttercream pipped around it.

The hexagon and pentagon shapes were cut out of sugarpaste, while the cake and board were decorated with edible images of the celebrant and his favourite football club.

Here's wishing him a very happy birthday and many happy returns.
